Greece and Italy - The Golden Odyssey

The Golden Odyssey provides a captivating guided motorcycle tour of many of the Mediterranean’s most popular Grecian and Italian destinations. Features of this 18-Day Premium Motorcycle Tour include:

  • The tour begins in the “Eternal City” of Rome. What better place to begin the Best of the Mediterranean than in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Accommodations begin with a first-class hotel in one of the most interesting parts of this fascinating city.
  • A two-night stay in the famous seaside town of Positano – “The Jewel of the Amalfi Coast”.  Enjoy meandering through the narrow alley ways, going from shop to shop, searching for a souvenir of your wonderful holiday.  Or, spend additional time in the saddle, riding the beautiful coastal roads of the Amalfi Coast.
  • Cruise to the lovely “Isle of Capri” and see the famous “Blue Grotto”.
  • A ferry crossing from Bari to Patras. You'll feel as though we've included an Adriatic Cruise as part of our tour. You’ll enjoy a first class dinner on your overnight passage to Greece.
  • Visit the fabled Greek town of Olympia, the site of the ancient Olympic Games. Our hotel is located close to the most famous archeological sites: the Olympic Stadium, the sanctuary of Zeus, the Temple of Hera and the archaeological museum.
  • Spend two nights in Athens, the enchanting capital of Greece - credited with being the birthplace of civilization and the city where democracy was born.
  • Spend two nights in Monemvassia, a well-known medieval fortress with an adjacent town, located on a small peninsula off the east coast of the Peloponnese.
  • Visits to Delphi (the most popular archaeological site in Greece) and Kalambaka - world famous because of the monasteries that are built on the tops of the Meteora rocks.
  • Take an overnight ferry to the Italian coast and ride to Florence, a charming town and a favorite stop in Italy’s famous Tuscany region. The two-night stop in Florence will provide plenty of time to enjoy this Renaissance city in the heart of Tuscany.
  • Ride to Milan to end the trip, with an optional stop at the Ferrari Museum in Moderno along the way

Rome and Milan are great cities in which to spend additional time. If you wish to extend your Adventure by arriving a few days early in Rome or by staying for a few additional days in Milan, we can arrange accommodations in the same hotel we'll use for the tour.

As with all of our Adventures, non-riding companions are welcome to ride in our comfortable support vehicle, either occasionally or part-time.
