BMW Motorrad Days |
|
|
Our BMW Motorrad Days Adventure provides riders with the opportunity to enjoy some of the most popular riding in the Alps, coupled with the largest BMW party in the world - BMW Motorrad Days.
This special tour begins with a selection of a late model motorcycle from the full BMW line. Accommodations will vary from comfortable upper middle-class hotels to Five-Star accommodations – clearly a cut above what is available on other tours. Most of our dining will be a la carte, with many dinners in intimate, upscale restaurants. You will never be presented with a limited-choice, “tourist” menu on any of our tours.
The Adventure begins and ends in MUNICH, GERMANY. The first riding day begins with an delightful ride to the Bavarian town of Garmisch, where BMW Motorrad Days is held. You'll arrive in Garmisch early enough to check out the opening events at this exciting event. During your stay in Garmisch you'll have plenty of time to attend the events at BMW Motorrad Days as well as enjoy some magnificent riding in the area. You can either take off on one of our guided tours of the area or strike out on your own.
From Garmisch you'll ride the Alps through Austria and into Italy, surrounded by the Italian Dolomites. The scenery and landscapes are absolutely stunning. You'll enjoy a great overnight stay in St Ulrich, with amazing views of the Dolomites.
You'll also enjoy a stay in St. Moritz – one of the most famous towns in Switzerland. St. Moritz is renowned for beautiful landscapes, high fashion, fine cuisine and great hospitality. Chances are you’ll have a great day in St. Moritz, as the sun shines an average of 322 days per year. And we know you'll enjoy the 5-Star hotel that we use in the town.
As for the riding, you'll experience some of the most famous passes in the Alps, including perhaps the most famous pass of all - the Stelvio. |

We experience the first mountainroads and end up in the city, which hosts the huge BMW fair!

Day 6: Corvara, Italy – Merano, Italy (~260 km) Depending on weather and your energy everything is possible today: from taking the direct way to Merano and an afternoon strolling around in the beautiful historic city center to taking the “scenic route”: up to 8 mountain passes are on our way, starting with a big loop in the Dolomites and then going west to the Mendelpass and Gampenpass.
Hotel: Meranerhof Hotel |
 |
Day 7: Merano, Italy – St. Moritz, Switzerland (~250 km) Nothing less than the most famous mountain crossing is in our program today! At 2757m, Paso di Stelvio is the second highest passroad in the Alps. As “chilldown” we can go for 2 or 3 more passroads, before we arrive in famous St. Moritz, the oldest winter resort in the world.
Hotel: Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains |
 |
Day 8: St. Moritz, Switzerland – Warth, Austria (~260 km) More mountain passes and more beautiful scenery wait for us as we make our way out of Switzerland, through Liechtenstein (one of Europe’s smallest states) and across the Furkajoch into Austria! Again, a wonderful spa hotel is waiting for us to relax and enjoy the high mountains around us.
Hotel: Warther HofHotel: Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains |
 |
Day 9: Warth, Austria – Munich, Germany (~220 km) Leaving the mountains through the Lech valley we still have the option to jump on one or two twisty roads. We cross the border to Germany, pass by the famous King Ludwig Castle Neuschwanstein and head north back to Munich. Tonight we celebrate the adventures of the last week with a farewell dinner!

Lodging ranges from comfortable upper-middle class hotels to luxury accommodations and small, boutique hotels that don’t attempt to attract large groups.
Ride Profile:
Average daily riding distances are very modest and vary depending on the type of roads traveled. The ride provides plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and to soak up the local culture. Routes are entirely paved.
