The Machu Picchu Excursion begins with a flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina where riders will take a connecting flight to Salta, Argentiana. 
In Cafayate riders will spend two nights in the 5-Star Patios de Cafayate - a beautiful resort that has become one of the favorite overnight stops on our trips to Machu Picchu.
The trip continues to Pumamarca and San Pedro de Atacama, where we'll spend two nights in this popular Chilean mountain resort. The trip continues through the heart of the Atacama Desert to the beach resort of Arica. We will ride the Panamerican Highway to Arequipa, a beautiful city, surrounded by spectacular mountains, the most famous of which is the volcano El Misti. From there, on to Peru and Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake, in Puno, Peru.
In Puno riders will visit the Floating Islands of the Uros people - an experience unlike any other in the world. Inhabitants live on islands fabricated entirely from local reeds. The largest of the floating islands supports buildings, including a school and post office.
From Puno, the route continues to Cuzco and Machu Picchu - the Lost City of the Incas - South America's best known and most popular archaeological site.
