Machu Picchu
This 17-day Machu Picchu Adventure provides riders the unique opportunity to visit a fascinating variety of South America's most exciting destinations:  Machu Picchu, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, with the incredible Foz do Iguaçu as our final destination.

Foz do Iguaçu

The itinerary begins in Machu Picchu - the Lost City of the Incas - South America's best known and most popular archaeological site.  The route continues to Cuzco, and through Peru where we'll stop at Puno and will visit the Floating Islands of the Uros people - an experience unlike any other in the world.  Inhabitants live on islands fabricated entirely from local reeds. The largest of the floating islands supports buildings, including a school and post office.

From Puno, the trip continues along the coast of Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake.  We'll visit Arequipa, a beautiful city, surrounded by spectacular mountains, the most famous of which is the volcano El Misti.

Crossing into Chile we’ll spend a night in the beach resort of Arica, ride through the heart of the Atacama Desert and visit San Pedro de Atacama.  While in Argentina we’ll visit several interesting Argentinean towns, cross the Grand Chaco and continue along the border with Paraguay to our final destination, Foz do Iguaçu.Bolivian Woman

Adventurers will end this journey in the tropical jungle environment at Foz do Iguaçu. This incredible waterfalls, located on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, is one of South America's most popular tourist attractions. Larger than either Niagara or Africa's Victoria Falls, Iguaçu was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986.

Riders will spend two nights at the luxurious Tropical das Cataratas – the only hotel in Brazil located inside a national park.  The trip includes an escorted ride through the jungle by jeep and a thrilling powerboat trip up the Iguaçu River to the base of the falls.
